Au coeur de la Mongolie chinoise, Tuya se bat pour faire vivre ses deux enfants et son mari, blessé lors d'un accident. Afin de résoudre ses problèmes, elle décide de divorcer et de trouver un nouvel époux. À la seule condition que celui-ci accepte de subvenir aux besoins de toute sa famille, dont son premier mari.

In the vast Mongolian wilderness, Tuya struggles to support her sick husband and two children. The only way for the family to survive is for her to divorce her husband on paper and look for a new spouse who is willing to take care of the family, especially, her ex-husband.
